Azadi Park

Azadi (freedom) Park in Shiraz is one of the oldest parks in the city, which was built in 1966 on a land area of ​​200,000 square meters.

This beautiful park is located in the north of the city and one of its features is the existence of a relatively large amusement park that is located in the center of the park and different games and rides such as roller coaster, carousels, etc. can be seen in it.

Other facilities in the park include food stalls, a theater, bird nests, a fountain, a prayer hall, and W.C.

In addition to these facilities, the religious-cultural complex and the house of culture in the park also provide services to citizens and travelers.

There is also an artificial lake in the park that is filled with water at certain times of the year and can be used for boating.

Koohpaye Park

Shortly after the Quran gate, you will reach the captivating Koohpaye park.

Koohpaye (foothill) park with an area of ​​18737 square meters has gained all its fame due to one of the historical attractions of Shiraz, named Gahvareh Did (the cradle of vision).

Due to a large number of visitors to this historical monument of the Daylamite period (dynasty era) and the memorial of the martyrs that are located around it, facilities such as a snack buffet, a small amusement park, drinking water, W.C, etc. have been built in this park.

Another feature that Koohpaye park is famous for is the small stalls selling different products that surround the park and give it a different look.

But the beautiful view of the park from the city should not be overlooked. Since the park is located in the upper part of the city, it has good weather and a beautiful view of the city.

Also, you can stand at the highest point of the park, Gahvareh Did, and watch one of the most fascinating

historical attractions of the city, the Quran gate, which becomes much more spectacular, especially at night.

Derak Highland Park

Derak highland park is one of the largest parks in Iran, which is located in the city of Shiraz, on the slopes of Drak mountain in the northwest of the city.

The first phase of this park was opened in the summer of 2017 and was used in the next stages in different years.

In this park, you can experience the thrill of crossing one of the longest zip lines in the country or crossing one of the long suspension bridges in Iran.

Mountaineering enthusiasts can also enjoy coming to this park to the fullest because there is a convenient route for hiking in this park. Also, the clean air of the park and the beautiful view that can be seen from Derak mountain and the surrounding nature, are other attractions of this park.

In this park, there are facilities such as cycling track, sidewalk, pavilion, W.C, children’s playground, zip line, medicinal plant garden, an artificial lake, etc.

The park development plan also includes the construction of cable cars, hotels, restaurants and fast food, playgrounds, animal habitats, bird gardens, and so on.

Kholde Barin Park

Another popular park in Shiraz is Kholde Barin (heaven) park, which is located at the crossroad with the same name and has good access for pedestrians to the two main streets of Shiraz, named “Beheshti” and “Mulla Sadra”.

In this park, a symbolic statue of the “Nazri” food offering, which is common in Iranian religious ceremonies, has been placed, doubling the beauty of the park.

You will also find other impressive sculptures in this park, such as the columns of Persepolis or the hand sculpture from which the tree came out. Tall sycamore, walnut, orange trees … have made this park green and desirable.

Pleasant atmosphere, children’s play area, and entertainment space for youth are available in the park and you can also use sports equipment. Snacks buffet, cafe, bicycle station, and parking are other facilities of Kholde Barin park in Shiraz.

Zarghan Forest Park

Zarghan forest park also called the refinery forest park is a recreation space near the city of Shiraz, which has an area of ​​about 250 hectares and is known as the largest artificial park in Fars province of Iran.

Due to its suitable green space, an artificial lake, picnic facilities, and a children’s playground, this park is a great place for citizens and travelers to relax and unwind. However, the park’s artificial lake is not full of water in all seasons and it is not possible to go boating.

Zarghan forest park is an attractive option for equestrian enthusiasts because they can use the services of the equestrian club located in the park. Finally, note that since the park is far from the city, overnight stays are not recommended, but it is a good place for a half-day picnic.

Jannat Park

Jannat (another name for heavens) park in Shiraz used to be one of those old gardens in Shiraz that was built during the Qajar period (dynasty era) and, of course, in a different form from what we see today.

This park is located in the south of Shiraz and travelers can take full advantage of the green space, especially its old and green cedars.

When you go to this beautiful park you will see a combination of ponds and fountains all around with cedars. This feature of the park reminds you of Shiraz Eram garden; of course, modernity has entered into it.

Shiraz municipality has made changes in the park over the years and now has facilities such as food buffets, W.C, etc. for the welfare of visitors.

Luna Amusement Park

Luna amusement park is located in the north of Shiraz, next to the Quran gate.  In addition to having a magnificent mountainous atmosphere, this park can be a different kind of entertainment in Shiraz due to the variety of its games.

Luna amusement park started its work by installing games and rides, which were unique in Iran at that time, and most of them were imported from abroad.  However, it is still not easy to find similar examples of its games in other entertainment centers in Shiraz and only Azadi Park has similar games and rides but not as good. This quality has made Luna amusement park famous and popular.

There is also an indoor space for women for their convenience. Luna park’s proximity to the Quran gate is another reason for the park’s fame and can make it a good option for your itinerary.

There is a large parking lot near the compound and the park environment is very safe for the family.

The fee for games and rides is also reasonable compared to the services received.

Kowsar Sports Complex

Kowsar water park is one of the oldest water parks in Shiraz, which is located inside the Kowsar sports complex. With a capacity of 300 people, this collection offers you many choices;

Exciting water slides, space holes, children’s games, wave balls, sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, Hammam (Turkish bath), gym and massage parlor, and the last but not the least underwater music are some of the great features of this establishment.

Besides Kowsar water park, you can also use other facilities of the sports complex such as gyms, billiards, etc.

The water park is open to women on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Men have a chance to use the park on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 11:30 aM to 12 pM, and on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7 pM to midnight.

Be’sat Park

Be’sat Park is one of the most beautiful urban green spaces in Shiraz which was designed in 2006 by Mehrdad Irvanian, a famous and postmodern architect in Shiraz.

This city park has an area of about 1.6 hectares and is the entrance to Afifabad garden in Shiraz.

Sports grounds such as ping pong tables, soccer fields along with suitable picnic spaces can be considered the facilities of this park, and an interesting historical pavilion is located in the middle of the park.

Morvarid Park

One of the most popular parks in Shiraz, known as the Morvarid (Pearl) park, is designed in such a way that made it a suitable place for traffic education for children.

In this park, children learn about traffic lights, various traffic signs, pedestrian crossing rules, etc. For this reason, Morvarid park can be considered as one of the educational parks among Shiraz parks. Cycling and the use of park sports equipment are also common among adults.

Bamou National Park

Bamou national park, with an area of ​​approximately 40,000 square meters, is located 5 km north of Shiraz, and its name is derived from the nearby mountain.

The park has special vegetation and is a habitat for rare wild animals such as deer, mouflon, goat and sheep, fox, and a variety of felines.

You can always watch birds flying over the sky of  Bamou park and, 55 species of birds have been counted in this park, which is 26 native species, including the golden eagle, bearded vulture, black vulture, partridge, See-see partridge, Pin-tailed sandgrouse, black-bellied sandgrouse and so on.

Bamou national park has many springs with usable water for agriculture.

Crown imperial, rare plants growing on rocks with yellow flowers and primroses appear in this natural park in late winter, which is like an announcement for the arrival of spring.
